NBIC offers three programmatic approaches to entrepreneurship. Traditional incubation is the most popular program, and requires the business to reside at the center. The Incubator Without Walls program affords many of the same services as the traditional incubation program without the residency requirement. NBIC Tiger Tank, or Student Business Incubation Program, is a complimentary program provided to up to four qualifying Tennessee State University student businesses per year.

One-on-one business counseling is provided twice a month to program participants, along with monthly business, balance sheet, and profit and loss report reviews.

Management and Technical Assistance

NBIC client companies are afforded financing opportunities through the Revolving Loan Fund and Management and Technical Assistance program. NBIC business counselors can refer clients to a myriad of business service professionals including bankers, marketing experts, lawyers, human resources specialists and accountants. Client companies may apply for subsidized fees for accounting, legal, marketing or other specialized services.

Peer Support

As a multi-use incubator, NBIC provides incubating clients with a community atmosphere. Monthly CEO Roundtables are required for all program participants, and serve to open dialogues about business and business processes among peers.
