On May 20, 2014, the National Business Incubation Association named A-Z Durable Medical Equipment as the 2014 Outstanding Incubator Graduate in the nontechnology category during NBIA’s International Conference on Business Incubation in New Orleans.
A-Z Durable Medical Equipment is an accredited comprehensive health company providing medical equipment management and maintenance, on-site and off-site drug testing, and home healthcare. A-Z DME maintains a quality service reputation for its entire equipment product line, including diabetic and respiratory supplies, power wheelchairs, walking aides, shower chairs and transfer benches, hydraulic and manual lifts, as well as ostomy supplies. The company’s homecare services include delivered meals, home healthcare, respite care, home modifications, assistive technology and personal emergency response systems.
Established in 2006, A-Z Durable Medical Equipment entered the Nashville Business Incubation Center in 2009. The incubator helped A-Z DME build their confidence as individuals and as business leaders to go after more contracts and expand the company into new offerings and new areas. They provided the company with a business counselor who worked closely to mitigate risk, troubleshoot problems and develop interpersonal skills.
